patron festival

There is no period of the year in which in Coat there is no festival dedicated to the town Saint patron or even of a frazione. The path shows to the tourist the possibility to live the Amalfi Coast through this main theme that talks about tradition of gastronomy and religion. In fact, at every festival corresponds to a very rich dish, that differs in much from traditional food more than today and that is lived as a tribute to the Saint.
The festival cannot be lived at the maximum if it is not associated a particular type of music to it, that starts from the classic band to the popular music of the tammorra. Sometimes the religious motif joins that historical, so for the June celebrations dedicated to S. Andrea, Amalfi patron, to remember the Saint protection in occasion of a fight with some Saracen, or with the need to control the functionality of the systems of sustain of the terrace areas, as the anthropological lecture has shown a party that takes place on Falerzio Mountain, that raises in Maiori, and it is dedicated to Madonna Avvocata.
The path gate in Minori allows you to get close to that ambient party taking the most real features of the local community.
To witness or participate in the patronal festivals you need to go to the communes Coast when these are carrying out.
