Furore – Paths

The toponymy and topography of the urban center reveal the peculiarity of the place which offers the attentive visitor an urban model not attested in any other municipality of the UNESCO site. Of course, being a center located along the slope that reaches the sea makes it interesting for the naturalistic aspects (the Fjord undoubtedly deserves a visit along the well-signposted paths) and for the agricultural ones.

Visiting the terraces with the typical type of cultivation of both lemons and vines is an essential moment for in-depth knowledge of the area, which also offers an interesting architectural heritage, made up of churches and rock sites, and a wealth of legends strictly connected with the very particular aspects of the coastal centre.

Food and wine are a further interesting component of the territory whose flavors and colors are typical in any season of the year; naturally for a more peaceful visit to the places, autumn is the best period as the mild climate still allows you to do some swimming on the coast. There are plenty of festive occasions, both religious and those linked to particular events, during which it is possible to listen to the typical music of these places and which recalls the atmosphere of the peasant world.
