MUNICIPALITY: Vietri sul Mare
NAME: Tower Crestarella
LOCATION: Loc. Marina

DESCRIPTION: The four-machicolation tower, dating from the Viceregal era, also called “Fiatamone” (probably from a corrupted “Chiatamone”), has an unusual width of the machicolation.

SEE, VISIT, FIND :   The tower can be visited from the outside.
FRUITION DATA: None
OPPORTUNITY: Coastal towers and other evidence of military archaeology, even those that cannot be visited, could be enhanced by the inclusion of a thematic tour route to be taken by land or sea. Information panels placed outside the structure might be sufficient to mark their presence, describing their historical and architectural features.
