Torre dello Scarpariello

MUNICIPALITY: Ravello
DENOMINATION: Scarpariello Tower.
LOCATION: Marmorata

DESCRIPTION: This tower, from the viceregal period, is a double-height structure with loopholes adapted as windows, devoid of weapons. Also called the “Ficarola,” it still has its original appearance although it has undergone numerous modifications to housing in modern times.

SEE, VISIT, FIND: The tower is of private ownership.
FRUITION DATA: None
OPPORTUNITIES: The use of information supports, placed outside, could obviate the inability to visit the structure. Coastal towers and evidence of military archaeology could also be better enhanced if included in a thematic itinerary.
