DESCRIPTION: The ancient female monastery of the Benedictine order was founded in 980 by Duke Manson I and was dedicated to St. Lorenzo/Lawrence.
Only a small part of it survives on the right of the long line of tufa arches that houses the town cemetery. A small fresco depicting Christ is still visible in the small open space leading into the cemetery.
